THE SILENT WEB - A MYCELIUM STORY
An Exhibition by Lisa Lowe
THE SILENT WEB - A MYCELIUM STORY is a thought-provoking exhibition/installation focused on the urgent crisis surrounding mycelium and the fungal network. This exhibition will explore how deforestation, pollution, and human activity are devastating the intricate underground web that sustains life on Earth.
As we witness the destruction of these vital ecosystems, the exhibition will serve as a platform to raise awareness about the importance of mycelium in nature and the catastrophic consequences of its loss.
My ceramic work will represent mycelium fighting back in its most beautiful form.
Join me in raising awareness and creating a conversation that could help protect one of Earth’s most essential yet often overlooked networks. Together, we can give mycelium a voice.

A bit about your curator
As a ceramic artist with 15 years of experience, my journey began with creating functional ceramics, grounded in the belief that art should serve a purpose in daily life. Over the years, my practice has evolved, and I have begun to explore the world of exhibition work. After participating in SWAF last year, I am excited to continue expanding my creative horizons. My work reflects a deep connection to both the materiality of clay and the intimate relationship between people and their surroundings. Through texture, form, and colour, I seek to create pieces that provoke thought and evoke emotion. I am eager to present my work in more exhibitions, sharing my unique perspective with a broader audience and continuing to evolve as an artist. Every new piece is an opportunity to explore and challenge my creative boundaries.
