Advice for Young People

An Exhibition by Ben Cremin

Advice for Young People blends words and portrait photography. Each subject (or collaborator) answers the question, 'What advice would you give to your younger self?' Their responses are displayed alongside their portraits. The photos are captured in and around Swindon, with the goal of creating a collective portrait of the area and offering insight into the lives of its residents. This project aims to capture personal reflections and advice, providing a unique perspective on the community.

The Open call asks participants to submit their own responses, e.g. portraits of family and friends or self-portraits.

A bit about your curator

I am a Swindon-based photographer and photography student. The photographer has the unique ability to freeze time and space, and by using a camera, I am interested in how we can reveal the candid moments that otherwise go unseen in the public realm. My Documenting Swindon Project, is an ongoing long-form project that explores Swindon through photography by investigating people and places.
